Engagement party

This weekend was mostly spent in a panic.

Between my family deciding to come down to Modesto last minute, packing up my whole life, and finding out our venue was double booked, I probably broke down and cried at least twice--Dallas would probably argue three times. But, never fear, we both have people who love us immensely and everything worked out fantastically.(Cue picture of someone who loves us)

Ok, he might not love us yet, but he will right? Right Kim?

So, like I said, we had to change locations last minute. It was awful. Luckily for us, the people we were staying with offered their beautiful home to us immediately. Props to Dallas for being friends with such awesome people(WE LOVE YOU TOLBOES!!!!!).

My sister-in-law Kim, bless her heart, spent ages hand-dying all of those doilies you see. All of them. She has an orange finger to prove it. She's the greatest.

It actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise that our original location, an outside pavilion, was nixed. It was at least 103 degrees last Saturday, and we probably all would have melted in the heat if it wasn't for the A/C in the house. You can see how popular the outside portion of the party was, even if it was the cutest part.

This is the best picture of us all night. No joke. Apparently we're not super photogenic. It's fine.

Thanks again to Kim who orchestrated practically all of the decorations, designed the invitations, and was our unofficial photographer all day. I seriously don't know what I'd do without her. And a HUGE thank you to Dallas, who still loves me, even when I'm crazy. He was definitely a good snag.

The First Post: Probably as awkward as the first date

This post is always super awkward.

I'm supposed to introduce myself to you, say why I started a blog etc, but honestly? Nobody really cares, and frankly, I'm too lazy to try and think of anything clever. So, here's a cute picture of me and my fiance, and let's just call it good mk?
